About YFCM

To see God’s glory coming across Moldova by mobilizing, supporting, and equipping churches to be salt and light in their communities and rescue lost kids at risk and young people for Jesus Christ.

God is the source of our authority and power, so a deep personal walk with Him is vital for every individual. Listening to and hearing His voice is our priority so that we can take only the steps that are in His will, even if they look impossible. Our objective is not to build the YFC organization to make it look good, but to build the Kingdom of God. We will be leaders who come to serve, not to be served. Love will be more evident than power or being right. We know we are still growing so far from perfect We will never be content to stay in the comfort zone and will change our strategies, as required, always striving toward our goal. After listening to God, we will step out in faith, even before the money is evident. We want to challenge and facilitate the staff in reaching its full potential, making sure people understand the importance of the work they do. We will take action towards solving (improving) conflict situations. We will not focus only on the YFC ministry but will also build collaboration with other organisations as together we can do great things. We will make our partners look good. The church is God’s body on earth and central to His plans. So our focus is to partner with and equip churches and encourage unity between all parts of the body.

Integrity and competence. We only promise what we can make true and we make true what we promise Faithfulness. We will not consciously sacrifice our faithfulness to God for the sake of attaining our goals. Discipline – correct behaviour, adequate dress, punctuality, order and clear working hours Dedication manifested through hard work, hours outside the programme when necessary, dedication to personal growth and development of the organisation Professionalism evident by the quality of the services delivered, the transparency of the activities, the tendency towards perfection and professional growth through ongoing training Team work. We wish to have a united team, with interpersonal relationships based on friendship and collegiality. Responsibility manifested through the fact that each staff member is responsible for what he does or says and understands that allocated tasks needs to be fulfilled efficiently and in time.

We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons; Father, Son and Holy Spirit. We believe the Bible to be the inspired, the only infallible and authoritative Word of God. We believe in the Deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory. We believe that the salvation of lost and sinful people is by the grace of God through faith and the shed blood of the Lord Jesus and that regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential. We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit, by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life. We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost: they that are saved unto the resurrection of life and they that are lost unto the resurrection of damnation. We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in Christ.

In the spring of 1999 the first team of YFC Moldova started to work with street children on the streets of Chisinau. Soon afterwards the first day centre for children at risk was opened. A year later YFC Moldova was officially registered with the Moldova government. Due to a good collaboration with what is now the YFC Eastern Europe office, the work was able to grow and some more day centres in other towns in the country were opened. In 2001 the Youth Evangelism project started, focusing on motivating and supporting churches to set up clubs to reach out to non-Christian youth in their communities. Right now there are about 40 churches involved in this ministry. A prayer ministry was started to motivate esp. the youth to focus on their walk with God. In 2004 the ministry with children at risk was taken to the churches and at the moment there are over 50 churches involved in this project, running day care centre for the children. In 2003 YFC Moldova became officially chartered by YFC International.
